Studio
Why it exists
There is no instrument on screen and nothing to learn. The camera watches your hands, the sound follows them, and you can make something in the first minute.
Move your hands and it makes a beat. There is no instrument to learn and no menu in the way. Studio is for recording. Live Play is for performing.

Idea
Making music should feel like waving your hands
Every phone music app turns into a grid of small squares you tap. That is fine if you already think like a producer. If you do not, the app is the thing in your way.
So we started at the other end. Assume the person has no training and will not read a tutorial, then find out whether movement alone is enough.

Built
Two modes: one to record, one to perform
Hand tracking is the obvious hard part. The real work was splitting the app in two. Studio is for building a track take by take. Live Play is for performing in front of people. The same engine runs both, tuned differently for each.
Licensed songs cannot be remixed, so the app plays over them and dips the volume instead.
GEB, Gesture Beats has its own address.
gesturebeats.app is the app's own site, and it is where the launch gets announced.
